Moving Forward Plan and Case Management

Pathway to helping our clients heal, thrive, and contribute to their communities.

Every client is paired with a qualified Case Manager or Support Worker to create a personalised plan that empowers them to break free from domestic violence, separation, divorce and homelessness to rebuild their lives with confidence.

Holding Hands

Hair Salon - LighthouseBeauty

Pathway to financial independence.

Our 2 chair hairdressing facility & Massage/Beauty table salon offers qualified single mums, the opportunity to rent a salon chair or table to launch their own hairdressing/Beauty business — empowering them to achieve financial independence and build a brighter future that will work conveniently around their family.

 

We are also in the process of seeking some business mentors to equip them on building and managing their business requirements.

Housed to Move Forward

Pathway to stable housing.

Our Housing Program supports clients in moving from transitional accommodation to secure, long-term rental housing—building stability and independence for the future. Assistance is offered through housing applications and referrals etc.

 

Lighthouse currently has two sublet properties that are occupied by clients who are moving forward.

 

Thank you to our Financial sponsor: Dee Why RSL. For their one off annual grant that funds our support worker for this service until August 2026 where we are then hoping to step into the 2026/2027 next funding program.

Cafe Training Centre on the ground

Pathway to employment in a cafe. 

The Onsight Café at our Dee Why Centre provides clients with hands-on work experience/training in a supportive, social environment, to gain practical skills on-site.

 

Barista training is donated by our valued partner, Phil Jackson from Danes Coffee Specialists located in Brookvale.

Help Us Make a Difference: Pathways that require funding/ sponsorship

Cafe on the move

​​Mobile Café for Change: Serving Coffee, Raising Awareness, and providing work experience

 

Our mobile café will bring delicious drinks and food to the community, while raising awareness about domestic violence and supporting our service.

 

This initiative will generate revenue to fund our pathways and crisis support, whilst providing valuable work experience for clients.

​

What We Have in Place:

  • Donated trailer, see below (via a supporter)

  • Professional coffee machine & equipment           (via a grant)

  • Trained team of qualified baristas and café volunteers

  • Local council endorsement

  • List of initial customers and pop-up sites

  • Thank you to Scott Anderson Fancee Car Northern Beaches who has now rewrapped the trailor and branded it too. 

 

Funding Needed: $1,500

  • $500: print supporters logos on the back

  • $500: Council registration

  • $500: Petrol Vouchers for the generators to run.

Lighthouse On The Lake

Pathway to Healing: Empowering Individuals Through Community & Support

Our vision is to launch a transformative program on the Northern Beaches that offers a safe space for those experiencing social isolation and trauma. With personalized care, mental health support, and community engagement, we help participants rebuild their sense of belonging and well-being.

 

What We Have in Place:

  • Clients ready to benefit from this program

  • Supply of kayaks for activities

 

Supports Needed:

  • Passionate volunteers to help build and run this program and its activities

  • $$ to rent a space to store the kayaks on the lake

  • $1600 Kayak Trailor to store 10 Kayaks
